Meet Tess Crane, LCSW

Tess is a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience providing evidence based treatment to children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety and related disorders. She takes a strengths based, collaborative approach, helping individuals and families build on their existing strengths, work toward meaningful goals, and function at their fullest potential.

Tess provides comprehensive evaluations, individualized treatment planning, and outpatient therapy tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Before opening her private practice, Tess served as the Director of the Social Anxiety Program and a clinician at the Child Mind Institute in New York City. There, she worked with individuals and families from New York City and the tristate area, as well as families who traveled from across the United States and around the world, including Canada, Puerto Rico, Australia, Switzerland, Egypt, New Zealand, Pakistan, and the Dominican Republic, for specialized treatment.

In addition to her clinical practice, Tess has presented to schools and professional conferences on a range of mental health topics. She has developed social work training programs and supervised therapists working toward their PhDs, PsyDs, and LCSWs. Her experience also includes working within schools and the foster care system, giving her a broad perspective on how to support children and families and promote healthy development.

Tess earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northwestern University and her Master of Social Work from New York University Silver School of Social Work.
